School summer holidays – how did that happen? I am sure it’s only been a couple of weeks since the Easter hols. Well no matter how it seems it’s true, summer holidays are here and with it prospects of fresh sea air, salt tangled hair (the real kind, not out of a bottle) and sandy toes.
With all the change and chaos in the country just now it’s good to know that some things never change; the waters of the Forth are still freezing cold even at the height of summer, sandwiches with sand in them are a summer standard and days topped off with ice cream are the best. Luckily, we got it all here in NB by the Sea.
