Drem Farmhouse

Drem Farmhouse is a large Georgian house set in the picturesque conservation village of Drem, located in the heart of East Lothian, surrounded by golf courses (Gullane, Luffness, Whitekirk, Longniddry, Archerfield, Craigielaw, The Renaissance Club, North Berwick, Muirfield, Dunbar,  and over 20 more), beaches and within easy reach of Edinburgh.

Drem Farmhouse has an ancient history. It was built next to what was once a medieval Chapel of the Knights Templar (the remains of which are still in the garden) and in later Georgian times it was extended to become a substantial house. It is surrounded by gardens and trees and is the family home of Hugh and Marlene Smith who welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast (evening meals available with advance notice). The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated throughout with a dinning room , drawing room and a large sun room all over looking the extensive gardens.

Adjoining the main house is ‘The Bothie’ providing self catering accommodation, for up to 4 people, on weekly basis.
Adjoining the main house, with access through a private court yard. Recently modernised, the comfortable interior offers all the facilities that you would expect whilst still retaining its countryside charm.

The accommodation comprises of 2 twin bedrooms with link and zip beds (ie twin beds can become doubles), shower room and an open plan kitchen / sitting room.

‘The Bothie’ offers the following facilities for all guests:
Sleeping accommodation for 4 people (2 twin / double rooms)
Modern shower room (incl. power-shower)
Large reception room, incorporating kitchen / diner and sitting room
Fully fitted kitchen includes: electric cooker; halogen hob; microwave; fridge-freezer; washer-dryer; dishwasher; toaster and kettle
